The Accord provides workers with an independent Complaints Mechanism and protects them against retaliation for utilising it. Through this mechanism, workers and their representatives at Accord-covered factories can raise concerns about health & safety risks safely and confidentially.

All complaints are initially assessed to determine if they fall under the Accord safety and health remit. Safety & health complaints are investigated by qualified Accord staff and their findings and remediation requirements are announced to all the employees at the factory. The Accord works with the complainants and the Factory Management to ensure that the Accord’s requirements are fully implemented..
